I am jumping the queue on this one, posting it ahead of Arica because it is tied to a day on everyone’s calendar.

Valentine’s Day on Volendam was a dress up night. There was a big dinner in the main dining room…

…and a party in the Crow’s Nest.

We also found goodies and decorations in our stateroom.

There was expected to be a big “Chocolate Surprise” in the party in the Crow’s Nest, it was scheduled for 9:30 but as we left the party greeting the Captain and Cruise Director on the way out we repeated the cry of those born in the 1940s. “Nine is the New Midnight.”
