Today our ocean cruise became a river cruise. Last night we crossed the bar and we woke up this morning in the Amazon River. The river runs west-southwest from its mouth, which is just above the equator. So, we crossed the equator to get to the mouth of the river, made the turn, crossed the bar and were again south of the equator. My fall cold turned into a spring cold and back again into a fall cold.
It was a ‘normal’ sea day in that we had lectures, we played dominos with friends, took a nap, walked my mile around the deck, but this time I had something new to look at.

Several folks with macro lenses were taking pictures on insects on the white walls of the superstructure. I took a few too.

But the topper was sailing westward along the river into a sunset and thunderstorm with the dynamic changes of light.
