Just before sail out I looked to the Stern of Amsterdam and saw some ships over on their sides.  I was thinking I didn’t think the tide range was that big in the River Platt.  Taking a second look, these ships were in terrible repair.  This was a graveyard for ships, confirmed by Captain Mercer in his blog.  I thought they made sad but interesting pictures.

The last two pictures are the Telephone Company tower.  I thought that it was striking against the blue sky and orange hull of the ship.
