This is a final post from Athens designed to show off some of the more colorful and curious aspect of our visit to Athens.  We will start off at the Athens Acropolis Museum.  If Greek history or mythology will not engage kids, Legos will.  There is a model of the Acropolis built from Lego bricks.  It shows the Parthenon, half in its current state and half in its glory.  There are some Easter Eggs hidden to get kids, and adults, to explore further.  For instance, Elton John plays the piano in the Amphitheater.

Then there Is Alica in Kookland.  I assume it is not wonderland because of copyright issues, although there is plenty here to interest a copyright attorney.  It is a restaurant where we did not eat, but the kids saw it and made sure we got to see it too.  Glad they did.  This is probably the most colorful and curious venue in Athens.

Mear Alice is the Museum of Illusions.  It is a playful place to take a family, and it is also air conditioned.

We found a “living museum,” a venue run by actors.  They have several performances, like the abridged Odessey, but we attended an interactive murder mystery show.

The Flea Market was just a couple of blocks from the Moxy hotel and sells a jumble of things, none of which I bought but I was tempted.

Our Athens neighborhood featured colorful street art.

Finally, the mural at the Moxy hotel greeted us every breakfast time.
